The battery packs are also a lot lighter. Electric boats also do not cause any pollution. They don't put exhaust into the water or air. Because the electric powered boats are much cleaner you can test drive them in bath tubs and swimming pools.

The electric boats are also better for the younger members of your family. Since they don't have to mix gas they are considerably safer than gas powered RC boats. Because they are safer and easier to use the younger people in the family will hopefully want to continue the hobby with their parents and pass it down to their own kids. As an added benefit the kids will be less inclined to stay inside and sit in front of the television. What parent won't find that to be an acceptable benefit. Not to mention the time with family.

Whether you use electric or gas powered boats the joy and time spent with family will be invaluable.
